LED-ing The Way!

We replace old inefficient and costly lighting systems with low energy lighting for community buildings like schools, leisure centres and community halls. We finance the install through community finance. This was developed in partnership with SE24 Sustainable Energy, together we aim to support local organisations to reduce their carbon emissions and energy bills, at zero up-front cost.

How does it work?

Our lighting programme works on a “pay as you save” model so that you can spend money on important community activities, instead of energy bills. We’ll calculate your estimated energy bill savings and fund the upfront cost through community investment. As a result, you’ll be able to spread the cost over up to 10 years and save money month on month.

Who do we work with?

We work with community buildings such as schools, community centres, libraries and leisure centres.

We are actively seeking buildings for pre-feasibility studies that:

  • Are in Bromley, Greenwich, Lewisham and Southwark
  • Are in use for more than 8 hours per day, and
  • Currently contain no/few LED lights.
Recently, we replaced LEDs in Greenwich West Community & Arts Centre and Sydenham Libraries where we replaced 156 and 144 lamps respectively. Across both sites we estimate that their gross annual savings will be £9,692 and 5.4 metric tonnes of CO2e.
Greenwich West Community and Arts Centre now have lower energy bills and their patrons benefit from better lit facilities.

If this sound like a building you manage, register your interest here. This form will collect some basic information about your building(s) and we will then get in touch to organise a site visit for a pre-feasibility study. If your site is suitable, we will begin the funding process.
