Want Shared Solar on Your Flats in Greenwich? Be Part of Our Application!

Live in a flat in Greenwich, or involved in a housing association?

Always wanted solar but always seemed too tricky or complex to get off the ground?

More than 50% of Greenwich residents live in flats, yet only about 1% of domestic solar installs are on flats.

We want to change this!

And meanwhile, the technology now exists to split the energy from a single rooftop solar system and divide it between multiple dwellings.

Benefits include:

💡 Lower bills for all residents

💡 No cost to residents – if successful, all funded through local community energy fund

💡 Up to 50% greater bill savings when compared to individual systems

💡Each household can still choose their energy retailer

💡 Such installations almost always achieve an EPC uplift of at least one band.

Whether you rent, own, in council or social housing, get in touch with Debbie [debbie (at) selce.org.uk], our renewable energy projects manager to find out more and join us in in applying to the Greenwich Community Energy Fund for full feasibility works for your building!

If you think your building might be suitable for an innovative shared solar system to power you and your neighbours’ homes, please get in touch by 5 January – email Debbie at the above address. Submissions close very soon!
