We are delighted to be involved in Lewisham Council’s Housing Retrofit Programme, which is part-funded through the Department of Energy’s Warm Homes Fund, to support energy efficiency improvements across its housing stock. This three-year programme (2025-2028) of works will deliver more than £16M of improvements to Lewisham Council’s properties.
Lewisham Council has recently retrofitted The Hermitage as well as other Council-owned properties across the borough and are now working with a new wave of properties.
The aim of the programme is to:
· Reduce energy consumption and household bills
· Mitigate the risk of damp and mould
· Lower carbon emissions
· Improve comfort and indoor temperature regulation
· Raise your property’s Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating
· Safeguard the long-term condition of the building
Depending on the specific needs of your home, these works may include insulation, new windows and doors, low-carbon heating systems, solar PV panels, and other enhancements to make your home more energy-efficient, comfortable, and sustainable. Contractors are also being encouraged to do minor repairs while they are on site.
To be eligible you must live in a Lewisham Council property. The majority of the works will be on rented properties, however, if you are a leaseholder in identified properties do get in touch as there is support available.
