Thanks to everyone who donated and shared our Crowdfunder supporting Selce’s Energy Advice Team, who are currently facing a funding gap from this month onwards.
Thanks to your kindness and generosity, we managed to raise £7764.66.
Although this was short of our ambitious target, it is still a vital boost, enabling us to use these funds immediately to prioritise those most urgently in need of our support.
The amount raised will cover advice and advocacy for the equivalent of more than 77 households to substantially reduce their bills. Or alternatively, the funds to cover 31 home visits, including the installation of up to 9 separate in-home measures to save on our clients’ bills.
Our campaign has also shone a wider light on the challenges fuel poverty alleviation is facing right now – with fewer grant options available.
But the better news is that through this campaign, at least one more funder for our team to continue its work has come forward.
We are still not fully funded for the year ahead, but have enough to keep going for the moment, and the fight against fuel poverty in South East London lives on, for another day, another month and hopefully eventually another year through to 2027.
One more step to a cleaner, fairer future for EVERYONE, with no one left behind.
Note: the total amount raised in donations on Crowdfunder was £8009 – after the deduction of VAT and transaction fees, the total amount raised was 7764.66.
